Look what we woke up to yesterday morning! It's melted now, but we were surprised to see snow in mid-October. Suddenly moving to Arizona for Jared's Ph.D sounds like a great idea!

Edited: We don't really have a clue where we are going or what we are doing next. Jared graduates with his Masters in the spring. We are currently looking into jobs and PhD programs, and there are a couple options in Arizona. But there are also opportunities in New Hampshire, Indiana, etc. At the moment we are thinking of taking a one year teaching position at a jr. college to save enough money for the PhD program. If you didn't know this already we are paying cash for the Masters and plan to for the doctorate too. Made the stupid mistake of loans during undergrad, and won't do that again.

oh man, I am SO GLAD we're not in a snowy place anymore! Yesterday was 72... ah, I love this place. :0) My brother is in Arizona, and he said they have 3 seasons: hot, Monsoon, and nice. Right now he said Monsoon season is over and it's nice, from now till March! maybe if you guys head down that way, we'll have twice as much reason to visit... ;0)
I'm dreading the snow here. Everyone says winter lasts forever here and that it isn't like a Utah winter, where the sun will still shine. I want it to stay Fall so we can go apple picking more.
You might go to Arizona?
Oh, my gosh, snow already. And doesn't the little man look like a little man with that new haircut!! Arizona! New Hampshire! Oh, my gosh! Doesn't it feel good, though, to have paid as you've gone instead of adding up loans--very wise way to go.
