Things have been so busy lately! Besides the usual kids and cleaning and scrapbooking!
Conference was great. Just what I needed. I especially loved Elder Ballard's talk to young mothers on Sunday afternoon. (I'll link it up in a few days, it said transcripts would be available on Thursday).
Here's a cute conversation Jared and Ryan had after conference:
J: It was a good conference, huh?
R: Yeah.
J: We felt the Holy Ghost.
R: Yeah.
J: Do you know what the Holy Ghost feels like?
R: Uh-huh.
J: What does it feel like?
R: (whispers) Jesus.
It was so neat to watch President Monson now that he is our prophet and see the mantle shift. Logically I knew he was our new prophet, but I'm not really sure I had a testimony of it until I heard him speak to us with the new responsibility in mind. And when we sustained him. Then it hit. Even though I was 12 when President Hinckley was called, he's the only prophet I really remember. And I'll miss him, but I'm excited for what's ahead with President Monson. And I really love that we always know the church will stay the same no matter who the prophet is. That's one thing (among many) that makes me know for sure that the church is true.
Emery has started solid foods! I have to admit I wasn't nearly as anxious to start with her as I was with Ryan. But she did really well. I also got a little food mill and am going to try to make some homemade baby food this time around. She's just on rice cereal at the moment. At Enrichment a few weeks ago an older lady was talking about how strange it was that we start solids so late (4-6 months) now because in her day they'd start the babies on cereal at a few days!I've been working on getting bookings for Piggies and Paws. Sometimes you just need one good booking to get things going, and I've been struggling here in Utah. (Holly are you reading this? Your party was perfect because it got everything going for me in Idaho! I need someone like you here!)
Oh, and I have a new kit and a freebie alpha over on my design blog.
Goings on

I also really appreciated that talk. I actually was thinking about you during the talk and thought for sure you were as happy as I was to be hearing it!
Hope Piggies gets up and going for you. Too bad I'm so far away or I'd drum up some business for you. Piggies are one of my very favorite baby things. Everyone should own at least one... or at least a couple dozen like I do.
I know... that party turned out to be so much fun! I LOVE piggies and paws... I have a few friends in Logan, I'm going to e-mail them right now to see if they are interested, and post something on my blog for you. :) In fact Piggies and Paws should be in my all time faves links! :) lol. Do I really have any more prints left?
how about the leads from the baby expo? I hope that works out.
